(photo) Mark Thomason oversees all clinical trial projects in the BioInformatics group and he is the data manager for the Great Lakes/New England CEC Consortium. Mark also participates in research into new ways to capture, store and present clinical information.
Mark received his B.S. in Computer Science from Brigham Young University in the spring of 1990 and became a senior developer on the Unix Graphics team at WordPerfect Corp. In 1995, he entered the University of Utah Medical School and earned an M.S. in Medical Informatics. His master’s project included developing a clinical information system for solid-organ transplant.
Mark is also earning his Da.D. degree as a husband and father of five. His family enjoys most all outdoor activities including: water- and snow skiing, camping, biking, flying and 4-wheeling. Mark worked as a carpenter through college and stays active in home building and remodeling.
