Paul Courtney earned
a BS degree in Physics and an MS degree in Materials Science and
Engineering from Stanford University in 1977. He joined BioInformatics
in the Spring of 2000, moving up from SUNY Stony Brook on Long Island,
NY. He was promoted to Project Director after a year and a
half and worked on the PPSG projects, John Baron as PI. He was the architect and project lead for the Vitamin D/Calcium Polyps Prevention Project Web Application until March 1. He currently is heading up the caBIG effort at Norris Cotton Cancer Center.
Paul
lives in an mid-century modern house in Lebanon, New Hampshire with his wife, Carrie, five
cats, one aging Cocker Spaniel, and an 18-year
old stepdaughter, Honah Liles. His 21 year old stepdaughter, Lisbeth, is graduating from Sarah
Lawrence College this year.
